Gea Pantner Volfand (1990) completed her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Prof. Mile Kosi. She has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, among others, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Young Soloists of Ljubljana.
She is a recipient of the Škerjanc Award of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana and the Prešeren Award of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. She is a member of the String Quartet “Accadémia, which has also been awarded the Prešeren Award.
She has been a permanent member of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra since 2012 and she has been the principal violist since 2019.
She collaborates with all Slovenian professional orchestras and regularly performs in chamber ensembles with renowned musicians, such as Mate Bekavac, Irena Grafenauer, Bošjan Lipovšek, Andrej Žust and others. She was also a member of the EUYO and the GMJO.
